"micro-line" Peripheral Card Summary

The SIGNALWARE ORS-xxx series of Peripheral Cards for the ORSYS Texas Instruments DSP Target Boards provide a flexible way to combine analog I/O with several different Digital Signal Processor (DSP) models. ORYSYS produces several production ready products that cover small to medium production runs for a wide range of the DSP models in the TMS320C5x and TMS320C6x product lines. All products have the same "micro-line" interface. All of Signalware ORS cards fit directly into the "micro-line" stack. Thus, the developer is able to choose a combination of DSP model and Signalware peripheral card that will provide an embedded DSP based, production-ready system. ORYSYS provides documentation for this interface in Card Interconnect Manual.

SIGNALWARE also supports the AED Series daughtercards on "micro-line" stacks. This is accomplished with the ORS90x bus adaptors that convert the "micro-line" bus into the Texas Instrument Multi-Platform Daughtercard Interface bus. These adaptors mount on the top of the "micro-line" card stack and allow any of the AED Series Daughterboards to be mounted on the adaptor. While this configuration is convenient for rapidprotyping, Signalware will provide a fully conformal, custom peripheral card configuration for production.
