Analog Expansion Daughterboard Selector

The SIGNALWARE AED-xxx series of Analog Expansion Daughterboards for the Texas Instruments TMS320C5x/C6x Evaluation Module (EVM) or DSP Starter Kit (DSK) provide a flexible way to combine analog I/O with several different Digital Signal Processor (DSP) models. Texas Instruments produces several evaluation products that cover hardware prototyping and software development for a wide range of the DSP models in the TMS320C5x and TMS320C6x product lines. All but a few older TI products have the same Common Connector Daughterboard interface. All of Signalware daughterboards fit the Common Connector Daughterboard interface. Thus, the developer is able to choose a combination of DSP model and Signalware daughterboard that will provide a prototype for an embedded DSP based system system.

SIGNALWARE can provide daughterboards with many combinations of the following types of devices:

If A/D, D/A and other components are needed on one board, select in each the appropriate requirements. Noting the AED boards that are listed, go to the next category and select the appropriate requirements there. If an AED board is found in all or most of the categories that board will likely meet the overall requirement. If not, multiple boards with stacking connectors may meet the overall requirement Please fill out a Searching for Somethingform with the details of devices required. Signalware will determine if this combination is buildable, and provide a price quotation.

Accessories for the Daughterboards are available direct from Signalware. Accessories include, cables, stacking adaptors, prototyping boards, Xilinx FPGA configuration software and cables.

For information on various combinations of TMS320C5x/C6x EVM and DSK products with the Signalware daughter cards listed above, see our Prototype Configuration Table.

Notes
All AED boards
Flash
512 Kbytes or 1 Mbyte
Directly accessable from the DSP address space. May be used to boot the DSP where the target board does not provide boot flash.
